Revive Adserver v3.2.1 Released

Revive Adserver logoThe Revive Adserver project team have released version 3.2.1 of the free open source ad server software.

This is a bug fix release, taking care of a few issues such as:

  • Flash banners now work correctly through the asynchronous tags introduced in v3.2.0.
  • The campaign edit screen had javascript errors when switching to some languages other than English, and was therefore unusable. This has been fixed.
  • Some translation strings that were mistakenly removed in the cleanup of the language files, have been restored. This fixes certain issues in the delivery limitations screen.
  • The regular Javascript Tag is once again present in the invocation screen dropdown, in addition to the asynchronous tags introduced in v3.2.0.

More information about the new release can be found on the official release blog post at Revive Adserver website.

Revive Adserver logoThe Revive Adserver project team have released version 3.2.0 of the free open source ad server software.

The most important improvements for this new version:

  • Revive Adserver now offers support for asynchronous javascript tags. The benefit is that a website that contains these asynchronous tags will continue to work even if the ad server, for whatever reason, is slow or not responding.
  • Many new translations are included, from contributions by community members in the Translations project on Crowdin.
  • Fixes for a dozen bugs.

More information about the new release can be found on the official release blog post at Revive Adserver website.

Revive Adserver one year anniversary and community growth

Revive Adserver logoOn September 13, 2014, Revive Adserver project team leader Andrew Hill celebrated the one year anniversary of the project in his blog post titled Revive Adserver – One Year On…. He looks back at how the project came to life in the first half of 2013, how the team grew and prepared for the official launch on September 13, 2013, and what happened next.

Active Revive Adserver instances on September 13, 2014

A few days later, I posted how the installed base of the software has grown over the first year. On launch day, we started from scratch, and 6 months later, there were 2,500 known active installations around the world. Another 6 months later, we are able to report that there are now as many as 4,657 active installations world wide. I think this is an amazing achievement for a small team with virtually no marketing budget. Congratulations to the project team, and to the community!
